Easy image generation

Got some images generated with Scenario last week. It was pretty easy to use, just typed in what I wanted and it gave me some cool stuff. The Image Generation feature is solid. Happy with how it turned out.

Awesome for new textures!

Just tried the 3D Texture Generation and it's incredible! The textures came out looking so professional for my game assets. It was super fast and easy to get exactly what I needed. I'm definitely using this again for my next project. So glad I found Scenario!

Good for custom models

I used Scenario for Custom Model Training last month. It worked well enough for what I needed, helping me get specific art styles down. The interface was mostly intuitive. My main gripe is that the documentation could be a bit clearer on some of the more advanced settings. It took a little trial and error to get things perfect.

Decent for team work

My team and I tried out the Team Collaboration Workspace on Scenario for a project. Setting up was straightforward and inviting members was simple. We found the shared asset management really helpful for keeping track of our generated images and models. The batch generation feature was also a time-saver for creating variations. The main hiccup was occasional lag when multiple people were actively using the Canvas Editor at the same time, which could interrupt our flow. Overall, it's a good tool for group creative work, but they could probably optimize the real-time editing a bit more for smoother performance.

Is it easy to get more free credits after the trial runs out?

R Renee P. 3 months ago
They have a referral program! If you get someone else to sign up, you both get some bonus credits. That's how I usually top up.

Sometimes they run little promotions on their social media or discord too, keep an eye out for those. Otherwise, it's paid generation.

How many custom models can you train on the Pro plan? I have a few different styles I want to experiment with.

K Kate Carter 3 months ago
On Pro, you can train quite a few. I've got like 8 going right now without hitting any limits. I think it's generous.

It's more than enough for most people. They have details on their pricing page if you want exact numbers, but it's not super restrictive.

What happens to my trained models if I cancel my subscription? Are they just gone forever?

A Amber S. 2 months ago
Nah, they usually keep them for a bit, like a grace period, in case you resubscribe. But I wouldn't bank on them being there indefinitely.

I think they get archived or something. If you plan on coming back, best to export anything critical just in case.

I have a promo code from a GDC talk, where do I even put it in when I'm subscribing?

I Ivy Lindqvist 3 months ago
When you go to checkout, usually through Stripe, there's a little box for promo codes. It's pretty standard.

R Raj Q. 3 months ago
Yeah, just keep an eye out for it on the payment screen. It's usually a small link or a field that says 'Add promo code'.

Is Scenario really better than Midjourney for making game assets? I'm trying to decide between them.

D Dana 2 months ago
For game stuff specifically, yeah, I'd say so. Midjourney is great for general art but Scenario's features are more tailored for game devs, like texture generation and controlnet workflows. Plus you can train your own models which is huge.

I use both. Scenario definitely has an edge for consistent character art or specific item generation if you train a model. Midjourney is faster for quick concept art sometimes though.
